Heated Fuel Lines? KEWL

This is a link to a fuel line that uses built in heating wires to preheat fuel lines.... all off 12 Volt battery.  This could be very useful for us up here in the Great White North.

Is it still common during the long, dark winters in the Great White North to thin diesel by adding about 10% gasoline?  Don't know if that's still done.

Will be heading back to Madison in 3 weeks on business.  Nice city, great people.  Not looking forward to changing planes in Chicago again.  I'd almost rather drive from Denver.

Thats a news on me.  Last winter at -45 C my diesel Passat just needed to have the glow plugs cycle twice to start
