Hi, As I'm new here I'm trying to put a handle on the term Listeroids, just what are they, what does the term mean?

A Listeroid is a Rajkot modified Lister CS.  Typical mods include taper roller bearings, 5 instead of 7 studs on the head, cylinder liner, removal of the oil pump and lower sump.  I own one, and don't mind the mods.

A CS Clone is an unmodified "copy" of the Lister CS design, with tolerances and clearances sometimes thrown out the window.  They are also made in Rajkot.  My neighbor has one from DES, and I like their concept of keeping to the original design for better parts and support long, long down the road.  We of course modified the heck out of it to make it run on Propane.

I was about to say it was also known as a treatment used on the bores for hardening but that was known as "Listard"
Coopernook - the centre of our Universe.
