Good day a1dirk and welcome. You say you are in Cali..., I`m guessing that equates to California in the USA, If I am right you can find original Lister CS engines on ebay, craigs list etc. They are generally worn out and you will need to spend a lot of time and money to restore them.

If you aren`t up for a project contact Gary at Diesel Electric for a Lister Clone or 38ac for a rebuilt original or clone. Sadly the EPA regulations make it difficult to import engines and illegal to advertise them if you do.

Good hunting, let us all know how you go.

Yes, last I knew Gary at DES has some Lister  CS types for sale. All I have at the moment for Lister CS engines is  a very worn 10/2 that needs a good bit of attention before it leaves here.

Rob at Old Timer Engines has a heap of old CS engines he was selling for $100 as garden ornaments. He`s near Brisbane, Australia. You might persuade him to ship you one, can`t hurt to ask. If all you can salvage is the fly wheels and castings you can still buy all the other bits from India. Dread to think what the shipping costs might be.

As far as I know, we already let you know you could get to your target price by local pickup. Best of luck on that hunt!
