« on: August 08, 2018, 08:05:51 PM »
hello,
1 hour ago I have buyed a Lister FR 2 cilinder 16 hp. (here in italy) ;D
In reality i was serching for a CS but is not so simple to find a lister here in italy.

I have a lot of question.... but for first.... where can I find a manual for the FR engine?
Is there  a Service manual for the FR engine?

There is an oil filter?  probably, due to the age, there is a strainer......but where?
tomorrow i start to do some check..... :D

regards
to all.

P.s. sorry for my bad english (it's realy oxidized)

Hi M60...

Welcome to the (gray) club of Lister enthusiasts.
It's feels good to know there is abroad so many enthusiasts. And the common question is: "Someone loan me the manual!". Awesome.

I started in the same zero mile stone. With a CS 12/2 [http://listerengine.com/smf/index.php?topic=8320.0]. (After the: New member thread - http://listerengine.com/smf/index.php?topic=6214.45)

Now I'm in the stage of baby steps.

As far of my experience the ("insane" wisdom of this) community of this forum will not let you down.

Belissimo.

Welcome to the site,

I am not sure if this applies to the FR series but the letter Z in a Lister model number usually indicates anti clockwise rotation.  And easy way to find out is to turn it over. If air is going in the intake and out the exhaust you are turning it the correct direction. Otherwise air will be going in the exhaust and out the intake.

The strainer is at the bottom of the crankcase on the fuel pump side behind the round plate that's held on by maybe 6 little bolts. At least it is on my fr1

thanks,i have found the strainer and cleaned it.

The problem is the air filter...... some part is missing or are not well mounted.
It seams that it does not function well

Can someone post some photo of the internal of a LISTER FR air filter?
I have the manual drawing but they are not clear.
