For a few years my rule has been "If you're using a tool then you must wear your glasses."  This happened after I spent two hours fixing a leaf blower because I kept setting the choke wrong.  I couldn't believe the up position meant no choke.  My eyeballs almost popped out against my glasses once I had them on during the last reassembly.

I've been wearing the same tool room glasses for over 20 years.  I'm thinking that my 75 year reward will be the laser eye treatment.

Last time I heard an ad it was around $1000 per eye.  I'll start paying more attention after my next birthday.  I passed my last driving test without glasses and my next test will probably be my last one as we'll all be riding about in self driving cars in the near future.   :)

The first time I wore my glasses I made a spectacle of myself
