I was wondering how one person has the time and money to collect such a vast amount of stuff?
Then I read it was collected by a father and son.
Then I was wondering how 2 people have the time and money to collect such a vast amount of stuff?
The shedding alone would have been a huge investment.

Moreover, what was the Point?
Guy selling it all is 80 now. That auction could raise $2m+. What's he going to do with the money at his age? Give it or leave it to family?

Sure I like my toys but that is just incredible. There is the foundation for a good size Museum right there!

I won't be going but I bet I know a guy that will. He'll be there with bells on for those old Holdens. He has about 14 Fx's and FJ's Now. I know he's cashed up atm and th thinks nothing of travelling over 1000Km in a weekend to get something and this isn't that far from him. I expect he'll be heading off with a car trailer and bringing back at least one. I say at least one because so often he goes to get something, finds something else on the way home and gets the Mrs to bring that back so they come home with 2 and a boot full of parts.

I think they are going to have plenty of empty sheds after the sale.
Make an offer on one. Looks like there are some real beautys there!

Love your thinking, I`ve got 30 acres so shouldn`t be a problem. Just need the money

I'm going to the Goldie next week to visit a mate and see his new Child. My mrs is going to give his a hand and a break. Like when we had out kids, they are pretty much on their own with no family or friends close that can help out.
Also lined up some Models to do some shoots with while i'm there to ear a bit of pocket money.

We are flying up but I want to drive up again, maybe around July and drop in and visit the rellies at casino and annoy you for a Cuppa and a look around as well.  I usualy go up and shoot the big cheer leading comp up there but I'll see how I go this year. It used to be fun but now it's got too big and they try to squeeze too much into one weekend.  getting in there at 6am, shooting till 11 Pm the first day, 6-10 PM the next then a few hours pack up takes all the enjoyment out of it.  They pay me very well but frankly I do it for the fun and when the fun has gone, so has the reason to do it.

Doing the trip to see family and friends even if it does cost me and I make nothing is a far better reason for a roadie!

BTW Bob, did you get my message about the solar panels?
I can't see any log of it so maybe I stuffed it up?
I got onto some real cheap Panels not far from you so if you are interested in getting some, let me know and I'll give you the details of the guy to contact. If not, that's fine. Didn't know so thought I'd ask on the off chance.
I made a mistake in the location thinking he was near me but is actually near you and given I have enough now, I'm not going that far no matter how cheap they are!! :0)
Just got home from what turned out to be a 6 hour round trip today.
