I can't see any blade fuses on the back of it so maybe it's ok? The cogged belt I'm thinking about is the V type, the LR1 flywheel is quite narrow, the alternators I was looking at had twin V pulleys on them, they are as cheap new in England as a used one is in Ireland. I have an RV lead I bought at an autojumble that I would use as a cable from the shed to the house

Many thanks Glort for the offer and information. I may take you up on your offer I need to check postage and more importantly "import duty" another way the Irish government takes down your trousers and ....I need to fix the car and gather up some funds. I still need a proper exhaust for the engine, I think it needs deglazed and maybe new rings. Just little things but they take time postage and money something I don't have too much of!

To be honest I only partly understand this, apparently they can asses the "value" irrespective of what you paid according to the postman
