« on: December 24, 2017, 07:56:07 PM »

After the failure of the 7.5 kw ST head I purchased
this Stamford "clone".

Will post results in the next few weeks.

That makes a very nice combination. You will like working with the Stamford clone. It is " 'head' and shoulders" above the old ST brush technology in sophistication and performance. Did ya like my pun?

Good looking twin ya got there!

Good to see your project!

Puns are the foundation of humor.

Hey!  That's what I call a industrial strength looking piece of machinery.  So how much energy will the twin and the Stamford clone produce?

The engine is an Ashwameg 25/2 @ 1000 rpm.
It was turning about 725 rpm with the serpentine belt
and 8" pulley. I will be using different pulleys with "B" belts
with the new set up. It should run pretty close to the 725 number.

The new head is 11kw .....I don't really know what it will do at this
point. I'm guessing in the 8 to 10 kw area.

Pulleys will arrive this week. Once I get the head lined up close I will
then be seeking the belts.

Anyone have a guess what she will do ??

Stay tuned !

The engine is an Ashwameg 25/2 @ 1000 rpm. [reduced to 725RPM]

Anyone have a guess what she will do ??

My 20/2 @ 1000 RPM, reduced to 800 RPM, with an ST-15 makes about/almost 11,000 watts at the limit. So my guess is that your 25/2 engine has a bit more displacement than my 20/2 and with the reduced RPM, of 725, will produce about 18HP. Which should be enough to get 11,000 watts.
