Jabsco water pump
« on: November 01, 2017, 06:52:10 PM »
Hi I've got an sr3 with a Jabsco water pump fitted.  The pump has recently started leaking from where the flange is bolted to the engine block.  Is the pump knackered and can it be repaired?  I hope so because a replacement is over 280.

Your help would be appreciated.

In a boat ?

Jabsco pumps are easy to rebuild with kits readily available.

The ceramic seal is usually what will leak.

I would be willing to bet you could find a utube video on how to do it.

I have several Jabscos. Great pump. You can buy anything and everything for them. Not cheap but at least you can get what you need.

Only pain with them is stripping the cooler to remove all the bits of broken impeller after it breaks up. >:(
