It shouldn't have been such a surprise that it's pretty much as complex as any other engine out there, sans those with Variable Valve timing and multiple valves per pot. You see them sitting there spinning so slowly and think they're quaint antiques, but don't be fooled... all doable of course but there's more to it than I originally thought.
This one will be my backup power when I move to Tasmania, I have a 9kva single phase alternator for her to spin...
Move is definately on now - we sold the house at auction yesterday, so retirement (from I.T.) 1 December and full time owner builder for the next 2 years... I want the Lister complete before I move, but have the roid in reserve if I don't. The clocks ticking....
