These are direct injection diesels, but they are also available in a natural gas version - 20 and 30 horsepower. We are seeking a market for a lot of the gas machines.

What is the wearing parts availability situation like for the NG specific components, on these HRG engines?

I would imagine the valves and seats on these engines would require frequent attention, as been a NG engine the valves usually have a hard life (valve recession).

 RPM is slow, valve spring pressure is low, valve/seat contact area is generous and EGT is low.

The natural gas HRs use a special hardened valve seat, specially built high-temp valves, and nodular iron rings to properly handle the higher temps and pressures. These are not diesel parts at all. Parts availability is good, through DES stocks, and we purchased several substantial fleets of these engines out of Canadian oil business so can support long-term availability of spare engines and all associated parts.

With the properly engineered parts as mentioned, these are well known to run very long and trouble-free lives.

Yes, we stock all oversizes and the pistons all have a steel top ring land insert - same as HL. These engines were engineered for true industrial-grade ruggedness and reliability!
