New Lister, what do I have?
« on: October 31, 2016, 08:06:22 PM »
Hello--I have purchased a 2 cylinder Lister from my cousins wife. He passed away at the ripe old age of 99. We were very close and he was an outstanding old school mechanic. This Lister was running in an old push boat on the Texas Coast and was given to my cousin. He rebuilt it and had it set up as a standby generator. It is turning a 7.5KW 3 phase generator. He was only using two leads to generate 240 volts of single phase power. I am setting it up now to be a standby unit for my place. She runs like a top but is pretty dirty with lots of oil on the engine. She starts and runs like a top. Unfortunately, the engine ID plate is missing. I have a attached some photos and was hoping someone to help identify it. I will need things like oil filters, fuel filters and a manual would be especially nice!

Thanks!! mb

I don't know how to add photos so above are links to my dropbox photos.

Looks like an SR2 model, but there are a couple other models in the same range that it could be. further detailed photos would be needed.

Thanks for the reply dieselgman! I went and tried to change my email address on the Montyb account and promptly got locked out.  :-\ I never received the confirmation email. This account was created a while ago when I was trying to get approved and I forgot about it! So same person. Here are some additional photos.

Thanks for the quick reply! Do you know where I can obtain a manual? I found the fuel, oil, and air filter numbers searching through the archives and I have found a ST2 manual but no SR2.

All the best,
