What is this on my 1934 CS 5/1?
« on: September 25, 2016, 03:33:50 PM »
Very much a novice, bought a restored 5/1 last year, had to move a lot of things round to make room for it in the garage and now it's ready to start doing some work. It has a 230v DC dynamo attached and was originally a startomatic, that side of things wasn't restored though. If I can get these photos to post there should be one of the switchboard, wonder if this is unusual as I haven't seen photos of any similar to this? Also 2 pics of what says "230v control" on it, what is it, anyone know?

Pics 2 and 3 are of the control solenoid/actuator. It operates the de-compressor and fuel rack for start up and shut down when running the start-o-matic system.
