Lister JP3 27/3
« on: August 14, 2016, 01:49:12 AM »
So I finally picked up my Jp3 and WOW this engine is way bigger then I thought. I honestly had no idea and my tractor won't even budge it, So good thing my farmer buddy has a big ole john deere to help get it off the trailer. The engine seems to in good shape, it has been beat around a little I guess because of the sheer size of this thing making it a little difficult to move around. It runs but I can here a little bypass from two of the cylinders when turning it over slowly and it does smoke a little. So my needs have changed since I gave the commitment to the gentleman I bought it from a few months ago so I decided to put it up for sale.
I will take some pictures tomorrow when I get a chance.
Im not looking to make a penny on the engine but I did probably pay to much for it, maybe because I was so excited to find one . But anyway I paid $1500 so thats what im asking
My only trade interest would be a Ruston Hornsby diesel preferably on the smaller side.
Jake

Not to pretty of a design, kind of industrial looking, but sounds like it runs well. What are you going to use if for?

Location?  Shipping to Texas? (probably more than the cost of the engine).

Here's a link I found with some information:

Scroll down to JP3 for 4 pages of information.

I'm not afraid to take anything apart.
I am sometimes afraid I'm not going to get it back together.
