Powerline Listeroid 10/1 leaking fuel at fuel filter
« on: September 13, 2014, 12:33:13 AM »
Greetings Fellow Listeroid Enthusiasts,

I started up my Powerline Listeroid 10/1 today and I noticed fuel leaking out of the fuel filter area. I tried to loosen the nut at the bottom to investigate and it would not budge. I was wondering whether or not the nut at the bottom of the filter actually comes off?

Thank you,

Jim

What style fuel filter do you have? Any pictures?

Hello,

Here is a link to photobucket which has several pictures of my generator including pictures of the filter housing.

I tinkered around with it this afternoon and discovered that the nut on top holds the filter chamber in place.

Thanks,

Jim

I toyed with the idea of installing a modern fuel filter. But, for some stupid reason, I thought it would be cool to modernize the Listeroid filter assy instead. So, I re-machined it to accept modern "O" rings. Machined parts to fit internally, and installed a Helicopter engine's fuel filter element. Works great! Looks original.

Yeah, I should have installed a modern filter.
