8-1 Injector return line
« on: June 06, 2014, 03:56:19 PM »
What is the purpose of the return line?  I've yet to see any fuel out of it, granted I've only run it with no load.

A small amount of fuel may leak past the pin in the injector to the top side of the injector.  I would expect more fuel to leak past with higher load (longer injection time) and with more wear on the injector.  It also allows any air remaining in the system after bleeding to leak out, which is a good thing.

I'm not afraid to take anything apart.
I am sometimes afraid I'm not going to get it back together.
