Lots of sand in the cylinder! I think there was a big plop of sand in the precup chamber that came out when it was test run. The cylinder walls were destroyed and the rings were stuck in the piston. This batch of engines was billed as clean and ready to go, well maybe by indian standards. That engine must have had a ton of blow-by yet they packaged and shipped it as good. Fortunately George B. is a reputable guy and he sent a replacement which was in much better condition. This was before a complete dissassembly was standard practice.
