That's a bummer. What is coolspring ? It seems strange that with such a loyal following there is not some sort of get together .
I guess that is the down side, these engines are so heavy and cumbersome if you use them for work they are not that mobile.
I think it would be good business for Gary at diesel electric to sponsor an event at his place if he has the space. He would likely sell some engines and maybe add some customers. ( sorry Gary I don' mean to volunteer you for anything )

I guess we are central enough within the USA.. almost dead center to be exact. Getting the time to setup and host? I am not sure about that.
We have a fair size lot in the country with empty spaces around to expand into if needed... have water and power, just recently (last weekend) got in the septic tank for proper sewage handling. Good hotels and rentals nearby as well. Our shop and storage space is absolutely maxxed out, no space for much else. One of our storage quonsets did not survive the winter as well - plans on adding a large additional storage building when I get a chance away from my 1,000 other projects. I also have to go to Alaska during May and June for summer maintenance contracts. If anyone has the time to mess around with organization, I would be willing to take part, offer what we can, put up some equipment displays and so on. I should be back in Kansas mid-July or slightly later.

Coolspring Power Museum in Coolspring Pa. June show this year features Brons patent engines and oil engines in general. Go to their website and have a boo. Absolutely one of the worlds finest collections of antique and vintage gas and oil engines.

Good point Brett! So, bring your own power or we will provide it on-site courtesy of an old chunk of British cast iron!

the Portland swap meet was the best in years,no rain or mud until the last day. Meet up with Butch and had a great day shopping for bargains. at my age I do not need a lot more engines, looking forward for next year.sid
