That looks cool. I have an AA1 Genset which runs at 3600 RPM giving about 3.5 BHP. I think it puts out about 1.6 or 1.8 KWH. There is a shaft running out at one end. I have two of these. The one with the shaft coming out which I call a PTO looks like it was reversed from the other one which appears newer. The serials date them in the mid 60s. The newer one has 120 VAC and 12 V DC. Maybe I could get DC out of the one with the shaft by rigging a pulley and a fan belt setup. Some people say that the reversed genset was done to run a water pump. I wanted to run an aux prop for my boat if I could find an old sailboat transmission. I've seen dory setups with belts too. If I pulled the generator head off and I found a throttle kit to vary the speed I think this would power a small river dory.
