I wondered the same thing.

The other thing I wondered was whether I could order parts, you know like a parts "kit"?

yep, I received the same quote.  I asked dieselgman in another thread what port he shipped from to see if his Lister kit was anywhere near the Hindory diesel source, never saw a reply.  It probably got lost in the noise.

on another note I contacted KK  Thaker in Mumbai after dieselgman said in this thread they were a good source.  They replied to my inquiry stating they could source Andoria diesel parts, just need Andoria part numbers.  I have the parts breakdown from Andoria.

For me the indian variant is not sooo interesting :

1580 $ = 1215 € + shipping + custom + import TAX (VAT19%) = appr : 1500 - 1600

the direct polish quote was 1614 €  :  no import tax , no custom for me  ( + transport , or drive 1000 km by myself)

for my plans to built a Combined-Heat-and-Power System the S321 with 27 HP was my favourite , because it was the "biggest" single cylinder still in production I could find.

right after I figure out a way to get one from Poland.

While I'd love to get a new one, I think the best way to initially get one is to import an older pre-EPA ban used one from Poland.  ovd1965 offered to help getting one, but all the one's I've seen on allegro.pl have been located MANY kilometers from where he said he was located.

Those guys are not further than a couple Kilometers from our main parts supplier in Rajkot... I would use our Rajkot contact rather than the Mumbai one for this and reduce the costs and complications by at least one middleman.

Also, the port we generally use is Mundra.

thanks for joining the thread.

Did you post your Rajkot contact somewhere?  If so I missed it.  Can you ask your Rajkot contact if they know anything about the Andoria clones?

Of course the downside is they aren't EPA compliant.

if I lived in Europe I'd get an Andoria too, but I don't.

For what it is worth, I have only seen one of the larger S321 forsale on allegro.pl over the last year.  I believe the larger engine was produced more for the export market.  The S320 are lot more common.

I will pose that question and see what we can find out... our guys are usually eager to get any new business. They also understand the US import problems and can help negotiate that minefield.
