AA1 flywheel/starter ring
« on: March 07, 2011, 03:01:50 PM »
Hi All,

Apologies for my lack of knowledge on the subject, I'm just posting what I've been asked to post!

But we have a Lister AA1 and we are looking for a flywheel/starter ring - complete assembly

Failing that does anyone have any suggestions of where we might source one?

Forgot to add, we are in the UK

cheers

Possibly even Luton  ;)

I notice they have a PDF listing of all the surplus parts that they have in stock, unfortunately unless you have access to information on the later Petter part numbering system the 6 figure part numbers towards the back of the listing (which are the Petter specific part numbers) will mean nothing to you, when compared to the part numbers you would see in pre Lister merger Petter handbooks.

If you have access to machining facilities, you could also look for just a starter ring, as the handstart flywheel is identical to the electric start equivalent apart from not having a starter ring. Also be sure to get the electric start flywheel or starter ring that is correct for the direction of rotation for your engine as there is a definite difference on the starter ring teeth ie which side is chamfered depending on the rotation.
