Need .030 oversize 8-1 alloy piston
« on: July 13, 2010, 08:39:14 AM »

A friend called today looking for this piston.  Anyone have one available?  As an alternative a new 8-1 cylinder and standard piston may work.

Hi Paul,
They claimed that they were unable to get one through L-P.  Problem solved though.  They came up with a .040 o/s and will bore to fit.

To complete my 6/1 rebuild I need a cast piston and either need to bore or line the cylinder. Probably cut it bigger and sweat a liner into it and bore to keep with original piston dimensions.
