My home is in Ft Myers. Lost power last year from Wilma for a week and took cold showers from a bucket. Flushed the toilet with water from the pool. Threw out about $300 in groceries. Went looking for a generator but could not bring myself to buy the Home Depot POS. Talked to a generator repairman. Told me the best diesel engine he ever saw was a Lister. Been here ever since. I have a 24/2 and a 15kw head.  Having a lot of fun putting it together. Can't wait to hear it run. People on here have been very helpful and a wonderful resource.

Thanks to All!

Dave

I'm in central Minnesota. I have a 6/1 and ST5 on order with Mike. I'm in the process of moving from one farm to another. Just starting to think about my power and heating design for the new farmstead.

I'm 5 miles from Lake Michigan in West Michigan (Nunica).  We have great salmon fishing.  Not off the gride yet.  Within the next year.  I think I'm going to net meter. Saving my pennies for a few Lister original's from Mr. Lister to ship across the bigger pond.   ;D

I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, this area got hit hard last August by Huricane Katrina. My 28/2 will keep ALL of my house running next time the power is out. I was one of the fortunate few that had only minor damage.
