20,000 hours on one model?  10 man years!  If he had worked at McDonalds for those years he could buy a nice used one - full scale.

Neither of those do it for me , I'd rather have that 1/6 scale 20K hour 312PB !!  Full scale it would have to be an F40 or a P4 , chance would be a fine thing !!

While i'm sure both are great chick magnets (not as good as a lister obviously ::)) I think i'd rather have an F4U Corsair or a P51 Mustang, & they are probably would not get me as any tickets i think. ;D

Aviation toys wise ,on the allied side my choice would be Republic Thunderbolt or a Griffin engined Spit , ME109 or a Zero on the badboy side !!

Yes, I think the spitfire was probably the most elegant of all the WWII fighters, both from the side & above, the 109 very utilitarian but nimble. the zero tho agile was too easy to bring down for my taste. for pure power it had to be the P38 lightning. all are good planes as evidenced by thier length of service.

All WW2 fighters had their weaknesses I suppose , the trick was in the compromise and the skill of the pilots to utilise strengths and avoid the problems. I like the Thunderbolt because of it's shear power , speed and resistance to battle damage , the Spit was the dog fight champion , love the fuel injected  inverted V12 in the ME109 and the tech in the Mag skinned Zero !!

There is very little that you can't find on the internet, but it is quite amazing what some people will spend there time on.

Thx for the link.

I am always amazed at the lovely things that people create with such skill and craftmanship. Now if someone could make a working scale model of a Lister cs.

I'm working on having a scale model of a CS or CS SOM made.

Are you going to have parts cast?

Any progress on this project?  I'd be most interested in building a working model
