Not too good at posting links but search Lister CS at the 'tube and then select the video posted by minctwo of his 5hp about to float the valves.

It should be pretty much down hill once you get the "cut and paste" concept down.

Thats her thanks. Things seem alright until that guy in the red shirt grabs the governor and "fixes" it from running too slow LOL.

that seems a tad dangerous, i was waiting to see the flywheels burst from over rpm, and whats with all the people running those engines without a cooling system? It seems universally stupid.

At least they were "REAL" flywheels, that were likely pretty sound.  Otherwise, we'd have heard about it.

Just because there is a head protruding between the shoulders does not mean that there is a brain inside.  These lads are prolly gonna father kids.  Reason to worry.

Mannnnnnn!

No Blood.

No Guts.

Not very much compression either.

Run Away?  This seemed more like a fast walk or a slow jog.  How far away do you suppose this thing was from flight?

I imported the sound from the video into Audacity, and timed the power pules and came up with about 990-1000 RPM.  Scootin' right along....

Oh, and if I was the dude in the red shirt, I wouldn't have been standing in line with the flywheels....

i counted the cadence of that engine clip and then clicked on the som clip
and the som is clipping along at about twice the speed,

maybe the video is not timed right,, maybe it is just the video that is sped up

like a 33rpm record on 45rpm?

the som definetly sounds like a 33 on 78rpm

i would think if it were overspeeding one could see a bit of fire out the exhaust port?

i dunno, i am getting to like listeroids less and less

In my opinion that engine started and ran at 600 but then they started fooling with the governor and it started creeping up.He responded to my comment and said he would pass along the correct rpm to the guy who regularly runs that engine.Oh MacGyver, what would we do without you !!!  ;D
