"The Lister CS Story" by D. Edgington
« on: October 11, 2008, 08:49:28 PM »
Received my autographed copy of this book this week. Anyone who has a serious interest in the Lister CS owes it to themselves to order a copy. It describes the development of the CS and the changes that were made to it as the years went by. Full of great pictures and printed on heavy glossy stock, trust me you wont be dissapointed.Treat yourself !!   No affiliation.

This is a very nicely done history of a very special engine.  If you're not goofy about the CS family I'm not sure I'd recommend it but regardless of your fetish it is nice enough for any coffee table and can lead to a discussion about the dream.  I think the British build much of the neatest machinery on the planet and this book is absolutely complimentary.

I just treated myself to a copy of this to.
More technical info would have been good , stuff about the engineering , design and materials of the CS. Lots of space is devoted to the chronology of the engine , whilst this is interesting I feel it could have been put into tables in the back.
Would have been good to see more period foto's of engines in there working application to.
Interesting enough to warrant purchase though.

Unfortunate that nobody appreciates this book for what it is.You have to like the engines themselves. Technical info is available elsewhere. Job well done David !!
