It huffs and it puffs but it will not blow its piston down
I've rebuilt it as best as I could using parts from the three engines, all in bad shape with a new pump, injector, push rods, and high pressure line from Central Maine Diesel. I get a little white smoke but that is all
I have checked the spill timing, looks good at about 18 degrees before t.d.c. I never removed the cam or gears so timing is good. I did lap in the valves, the only thing I can put it down to is loosing compression on the miss matched cylinder and rings, although I can only manage to turn it through three compression strokes. Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Christopher
