Dissasembly video of a new Listeroid
« on: May 14, 2008, 01:31:22 PM »
As promised to Petersbpus, I have finally posted a youtube video of my new Listeroid.

I was so impressed by Quinn's kit engine report on the Utterpower website that I thought I would do a lame video equivalent of some parts of the new engine's dissasembly.

It is not perfect by any means. In fact, hearing my broad Aussie accent is a strange phenomenon - especially because I thought my accent was not that pronounced.
I am still learning a new thing each day! ;)

Here is the link....

Again I say , not my best work, but it may be of interest to a one day Listeroid owner.

I have lots of pics too but those are not yet posted anywhere.

Take away the best Canadian words ( the swearing ) and I speak broken English.
So what is it about the Auz accent that so many people try to temper to sound English or American anyhow?

Yes they do. They each arrived in their own crate. There will be video inspection of the flywheels coming soon.

Well Doug, we aussies are quite prowd of our accent especially when Yankees or Brits attempt to speak it - Aussies and NZers all find the results bordering on the hilarious. It would seem that no one else can imitate our unique accents.
My surprise was that I am so pronounced in it. I thought I had a mild accent. I assume it would be similar to how a UK cockney or southern US accent sounds to the rest of thier fello countrymen...quite broad and strong.

In Oz it would be VERY uncool to Americanise one's accent. Although it is different in Hollywood where all our Aussie actors need to speak "American".

Hi Matt,

Just saw your video.  Glad to see you got it out of the crate.  Sometimes that's the most daunting aspect of the project.  Too bad about the broken parts, but that's not a big deal to make right.

Don't worry about the accent, you sound about like most of your countrymen who land on our shores.

Best of luck in your new endeavor!
