Did you know that you can test links from the preview screen?

Ok, ok, OK!  I'm passive aggressive.

The force that causes that sort of action is called precession.  It's caused by "magical forces" acting on the flywheels while they are spinning, not by an imbalance of the machine.  Crank up a toy gyroscope and watch it slowly rotate while its' sitting on a string.  Precession.

Yep, but the motor still has to be off the ground to precess  :o  ;D ;D

Nope it just turns around on the dirt just like in the movie clip.  Same as your toy gyroscope sitting on the string rotates around.

Sorry Stan, that was firmly tongue in cheek! :D.  Lets just say that the contact with the ground was "periodically reduced" which allowed the magical forces to do their work. Anyone up for running a lister on the end of a piece of string to see how fast it rotates? (also firmly T-I-C :D)

Cheers,

Brian

No problem brian...However, that brings up the concept of how tippy is a running 6/1?  According to simple physics, it should act like a couple of super gyroscopes and resist tipping over with a lot of force.  Anyone up for Lister tipping?

OK, lets hear the cow tipping stories.  ::)

There's been a lot of talk about safety when unloading your lister from a truck, as they're top heavy. The answer is simple... unload it while it's running....

I think it's about time to get back to work and do something useful :-[
