Had an 1115 hopper cooled with electric start. Changfa. Ran it for about four years and 5,000 hours, running an edger.

Had a guy I was friendly with, and he bought it then, and used it to pump water on his farm out of Spokane, Washington from a small stream up a hill to another pump for running guns for irrigating grass hay. He ran it three years more, all summer, and put on another 7,000 hours or so. He left it out that third winter, and it froze bad.

His wife chewed me out that winter when i called for selling him junk, and he never returned that call. Am not friendly with him any more.

To my knowledge, it never used anything. We washed the oil filter out every 250 hours , as well as the fuel filter every 1,000 hours. We did adjust the valves, and ran them loose. It was damned noisy, but a hell of a workhorse for a single.

Would like two or three more of them.

I built some controls for a guy that lasted right up till recently.

I told him this was well made and quality parts but it would last in the heat and dust.

9 years of heat and dust working 7 days a week ( tottal about 1000 hours ) and now its crapped out and Its my fault ????

9 years buddy, 9 years......

And ya if he took my advice then it would probably have run another 20 but some people don't see the big picture

dambed the bad luck i usually offer the 5/5 option for warranty. 5 feet or 5 minutes wattever happens first.  they didnt want their money back. sounds to me like the last thing that should have froze from the cold is your ex compression ignition engine.
