I recently purchased a Lister and I'm trying to figure out how old it is and what exactly I have!!!  It only had 452 hours on it and apparently was never used under any real load. The decal has the following information:
No:  149HR2A23
HP: 25
BS: 649
RPM: 1800.

I figured out the obvious...25 horsepower, 1800 RPM.

149 is the serial

HR is the model number

2 is the number of cylinders

23 is the year of manufacture, 1973
