Lister CS - photo identification help
« on: July 20, 2007, 09:04:14 AM »
Hi all,

My first post on here!

I'm a stationary engine newbie and am looking to buy a Lister CS 6/1. Can anyone help me to identify what this is? It seems to come with the engine.

Cheers

That is a genuine cast iron Lister residential silencer. Back in the eighties they cost 300gbp

This comes with an old Lister 6-1 is it worth getting?

How would this work? All silencers I've seen for the Lister is the pepper pot can sort.

Fixed installations with the diesels such as the 5/1 and 9/1 used these, there were two sizes, see the page on our website for the details.

Used up to the JP4 engines in the larger of the two sizes, we have a couple of the shorter ones.
