Nice Job Lendusaquid!  You didn't burn a quids worth of diesel yet.

Sounds musical doesn't it.  Looks very nice too.

Now slap a gen head on it and put that bugger to work!

What is that bouncing around down by the crankcase vent? and what kind of muffler did you use?

Looks great, sounds great!  You've got an early one,  ;D  Are those 6"x6" timbers she's sitting on?  Are they bolted down?

That thing bouncing around is an early type breather as used on the Lister L.Its a bit noisy at the moment so going to have to do something about that. The muffler is from a volvo 244 and its just what i had lying around. Its mounted on 4foot
lengths of 6x6 oak which came from a shed i pulled down. Its not bolted down yet, ive just got some long screwdrivers through some holes to stop it moving around. This is all temporary of course.

Hi Good job.
Now mount it solidly and hook it to a good load.
Run it hot(195-210) and under a full load.
Others have not and found problems.
Good luck
Dennis.

Sorry Lendusaquid,
Missed your earlier post with the explanation on the breather thing. I would call it a Pulse meter to measure the heart beat, breath by breath. Your engine sure has character and a great sound to go with it. You are right, it is alive! binnie
