Engine or Gen head manual? or both.

An ST Gen head manual would probably cover the generator, or give you enough information to muddle through.

ST1100 manuals on the net. direct and indirect injection types.

might even find a parts manual.

They are diesels sum are even turbo charged.
Heads are shaved, engines are lightened, there are even alloy go fast bits.
The noise is deafening.
The they don't mind a bit of Rolling Coal.
If you ever get a chance to see a race, do.
Its well worth it. OHS is non existent, and shoes are as well for the spectators.

That's about 1,418,550.76 Indian Rupees.

That would almost buy you a container load of Off Indian clones.
And you could probably make at least a dozen working ones out of that.

Sometimes you just have to take off the covers and get out some tools and start measuring.

Vernier calipers are your friend.

Sometimes your lucky and can move things around a get some measurement without disemboweling everything.
Often even if you cant find the numbers on a bearing, a supplier can sort you out just from the measurements.

My ST 10 head had nothing written on the bearings.

All my Chinese genheads now have Timkin or NSK  bearings, And I know they are far better then anything, China was going to install.

Best of Luck.

Listeroid Engines / Re: Lister clones from China?

This is what the Chinese, make. From very good,  right through to bloody terrible. Clones of Japanise small diesels.

I love the Lister in my boat, and the the generator on the house, but a good one of these isn't to bad at all.

Glort is alive and well, just running a muck somewhere else at the moment. He is still his charming and irreverent self.

Generators / Re: Standby generator
« on: June 14, 2020, 03:51:53 PM »
Its been awhile but i think the ST2 was about 14.6 hp at 1800 rpm. So that's about 10.8 kw. So to run the engine at 1800 and the generator at 3600 your right about the 2:1 ratio, but you wont have the power the run the generator at its full 10kw.

My ZS195 10.3Kw will run my ST 7.5Kw  at almost full load.

So my guess is you would see about 7kw.

Changfa Engines / Ring Gear for s195
« on: April 10, 2020, 02:40:28 PM »
Looking for a suitable ring gear and starter motor to fit to a ZS195.
Has any body had a go at this. Getting the stather conversion kit from china is out of the question, as its 80kg.
So o was thinking a ring gear off and starter from a small car would be a way to go.

Getting ready for my older years.
