Gentles, distinguished forum members

As promised, I now start the topic about the Deutz MAH 914.

But first things first, the Hilux water pump seized a ball bearing, and so it took the opportunity to change the timing belt as well.

The pallet with the Deutz offset measurements is ready for tomorrow to start lifting it.

Lets see how it goes.

Gentles, please fingers cross.

A couple of pics to joy.

Cheers

Other Slow Speed Diesels / What? Can be there a Bamford?
« on: August 14, 2020, 01:00:05 PM »
Hi Gentles

Recently I've been told that an old olive oil plant could still have his stationary engine, but all roof of plant fall down and bush fire pass thru there, so no big hope on the site.

Nevertheless, a look on the site and wild bushes doesnt allowed to have a clue, and sun was outshine, as you can see on the pic.

But the shadow show something inside, and a slight curved line ressembled me to something familiar.

Grabbed a long scaffold lock tube to tap, and could identify a rectangular shape upside, and a narrower shape to downside (something like a chess tower), tapped harder down and definitely could hear a sound like does a fly rim.

That was all for that day.

Let see next episode.

« on: September 30, 2018, 12:25:27 AM »
Greetings Everyone

following the advice of the 38AC, here is open the topic to serve as pool knowledge of engine manuals.

Anyone who needs a manual can ask for it here, and someone who has manuals can share them here, preferably in pdf format.

BEST REGARDS
Pedrosa

Ps: I still need that Petter PAZ1 Instruction Book

Petteroids / PETTER - PAZ1 - New project
« on: August 16, 2018, 12:51:38 AM »
Greetings my good fellows

I'm starting this new  thread here because I did not find another more precise to make known the progress of this new project.

I took this afternoon to see if my "new" PAZ1 could be resurrected.

The bad news: fuel tank with a huge hole.

To do: disassemble the fuel line; improvise a temporary line (see photo - final version); bleed (+320 crank turns) the bubbles never stopped ... and finally it is alive.
Next step: disassembly, sandblasting, straightening plates, primer and paint.

Difficulties today: lack of English spanners. Once more improvising.

I'll post the project advance.

Best regards to all
Pedrosa

Original Lister Cs Engines / Resurrection of a Lister 12/2
« on: August 06, 2018, 03:20:45 PM »
Hello everyone

Following Tiger's advice, here's a new 12/2 topic.

This Sunday was a day to visit the old machine. (Acquisition under discussion) Due to not deteriorate much more, it was all sprayed with WD40 - for now - I will experiment later on the ATF / acetone.

Bad news are: the whole system of governor seized with rust;
a fuel pump element seized with rust;
the two intake Tappets seized with rust.

All this at the first glance.

It's going to be a lot of work.

I kindly ask to anyone in this forum the 12/2 manual in pdf format.
