Do you still have that frame that you were using for your 6-1 and ST-5?

Lister Market Place (things for Sale) / Lovson 20/2 engine for sale
« on: June 06, 2012, 05:26:08 AM »
Lovson 20/2 engine is for sale.
The engine is in parts due to an early freeze last year. I don't have much free time to tinker; new Job and things.......
I have ordered a new replacement part to for the damage cylinder jacket that split. Not a big deal to fix, just time...
Lots of care went into this engine, chrome push rods, oil filter assembly. Polishing and balancing.
The engine may have 30 hrs run time on it.
I am hand packing the engine in its parts, it will be a great buy for someone who has time for it.
The first 1,250.00 + shipping gets it.

The ST-15 is also for sale....

Regards, Robert

Things I want to Buy / Re: Mechanical Help With Witte Engine Near Seattle

Hey,

If your gen. head is old the first thing I would do is inspect the brush assembly. If it looks ok then find another means of test spinning up the gen. head. and check for low voltage on the input side of the field windings. Then check the output side of the head. Many times an old head needs the armature stoned to remove rust and oil that impede the electrical process. A very fine emery cloth to remove the small layer of rust usually does the job. Drop me a PM and I will be glad to call you to help you.  I been an electrician for some 30+ years so I've picked up a few tricks here and there.

Things I want to Buy / Re: Cylinder Block Replacement
« on: February 04, 2011, 06:19:25 PM »
Yes,
you are correct...I need just the block not the head; without the cylinder liner.  I had some freeze damage and sustained some cracking in the water ways. I know someone has (possibly) a junk one around somewhere they want to part out. This is more or less a way on the back burner hobby of mine and that is how I come to let it freeze up.

Hey, I have been away for a while and trying to start up conversations again concerning my dead lovson 20-2
I crakked my cyclinders in a late freeze. my coolant was not strong enough to stop the damage. I was shocked.
Anyway, Zeke been a whole since we chatted. Drop me a note some sometime.

Wanted 2 cylinder heads for 20/2 CS Lister engine.  I looked around and want to pay $100.00 for the pair. Don't need the liners just the bare heads. Will pay with paypal.

What size head are you running on it? I got a 20/2 also (lovson) I am running a 15 kw head My oil pressure is 5lbs to start then settleing to 2-3 lbs. Your water colant tank should be more than 25 gal.
mine boiled in 4 hours, so I went to 55 gal.. Good luck

« on: June 22, 2007, 02:10:36 AM »
You can try here.... metroexporters.com I bought a lovson engine and paid too much to get my first set of parts but it was worth it....
Then you can try that outfit in Dallas, generatorsusa.com ,Sharon is the gril down there to talk to.
Parts are really hard to come by here once you get a source you buy everything you think you need for the next 3 years, LOL.
Good luck

Are you going to do a cylinder compression test on your 20/2 engine before you put it into service. I would like to compare notes. I am thinking about doing one at 250 hrs.
