I read about a guy in Fla. that had a listeroid that he  used to power his house after a couple of hurricanes. After Katrina hammered us I thought that a listeroid would be perfect.

I have three freezers and two refidgerators, I grow a lot of my food, plus we do our own meat. so we have the freezers. Katrina cost us everything in the freezers, we had a 5000w gas generator, but it was not enough. We were without gas for a couple of days.

I got hammered by Katrina, I would like to run my freezers, the refridgerator,  and a tv when the next hurricane hits. I got interested in listeroids by reading about a guy in Fla. who had a 12-2. I have regular power most of the time , but lose power every five years for a week or so. What do I need? I have a changfa 1115g, but have not finished my genset. I really want a listeroid.

There are two types of people on this forum, lister, or listeroid fans or wannabes. I personally want to be a fan, instead I'm a wannabe. I am NOT A MECHANIC.  I am mechanically inclined. I know enough to get into real trouble. It would really help if some of you guys would help us novices. I have a changfa 1115g, but really want a listeroid genset. There are many of us that are out here, help us, we want to be involved in this, but don't know where to start.

I have a changfa 1115 g and i feel like bob, I live in South MS, got hammered by Katrina, i have not finished my genset. I had a stroke in my right eye, and it has really slowed me down. I may need to pick some one's brain, i never have messed with generating before, would love a Lister.

I recently buy a high speed genset to use in my blueberry fields. (3600 rpm) i got the genset dirt cheap, it is a through away genset. I was impressed by the quality of finish. It started the first pull, and has run flawlessly. i have a Changfa 1115G that i am going to use to build a larger genset.

There WERE alot of old tupentine trees on my land before Katrina. I never wanted to cut those trees because you don't see them much any more. Some of them still had the boxes still attached. I wanted my grand kids to see them. I lost ever one of them. It is a shame.

My orginal idea was to cut waste motor oil with turpentine.  I wanted to experiment with it. I don't know how turpentine is made any more, but I intend to find out how they made it in the past.

I live in the south, lots of pine trees. In the old days, as late as the 1970's they would tap the pine trees for rosen, to distill into turpentine etc. I wonder if a diesel substitute would be feasable? Anyone have thoughts on this.
