Changfa Engines / Re: Changfa s1115 value?

It sold already...I wasn't sure if that price was ok so I didn't pursue it. Looks like it may have been a good deal. I dunno.  I didn't think these could be imported anymore?

Changfa Engines / Changfa s1115 value?

A guy has one for sale. Hasn't been used. He's asking $500. I know these were a lot cheaper back in the day. Are they more valuable now? Does this seem like a reasonable price?

Thought he retired. Might be wrong.

I’m lucky. Got a Ford F-350 with a crane on it about 5 years ago. Wish I had bought one 20 years ago.

Well I tried different pics today and no luck. It keeps saying no text in message even though I had about 3 lines of text. I’m not sure what’s going on.

Can’t seem to post jpeg pics for some reason. I got a new to me iPhone and it doesn’t seem to allow changing file types from jpeg to jpg.

Nice running little Detroit. It has approximately 1900 + hours on it. Low oil level shutdown, air intake shutdown. Oil bath air filter.  It’s sitting on a two wheel trailer. I’ll try to get pics soon. I don’t have any on my new phone. $2000 obo  located  in central Illinois.

I also have a Fairbanks Morse badged P&H 6 cylinder. It’s a big boy. Two scavenger blowers and a huge turbo on top. Very similar to the Detroit 671.  $2500

Pretty much as I imagined it. I bought one of these listeroids 15 years ago. I went to use one of the pry points on it with very slight pressure and the pry point snapped off. I immediately sold it. I kind of wish I had kept it now. They seem to have increased in value.

We have some air friction motors like that at work. Ours have a small airbag that applies pressure to the motor so that the friction occurs. The bag deflated and the motor moves away from the friction point. Pretty simple process.

Diesel coolant additive might help. It's supposed to prevent rust.

Did you sell it?  If not I'm interested.

I just got off the phone with the chap in WI, apparently they are importing these as pellet mills. The horizontals are hooked up to a belt driven mill on a steel frame and being imported that way. How is this possible?

Here is their website: http://www.pelletmasters.com
Look under all products, pellet mills, diesel powered.

So what were their prices on the engines alone?

Anhydrous lanolin mixed with your favorite machine oil works pretty good for keeping rust away   ;)

I haven't taken any pics yet.  It is literally the generator in that first post with the YouTube link. I brought it home in a snow storm so I wrapped it in plastic and shrink-wrap.  I haven't unwrapped it yet because we have been having oddball snowstorms and i5s sitting on my porch at the moment. Hopefully this warm week we have had marks the end of the snow. I'll probably unwrap it this weekend.  I need to get a gen shed set up.
