I have a lister field marshal for sale in Massachusetts with almost no run time for $2,000. It is though starting but runs descent. It could probably use a tuneup and cleaning. Only test run. I had plans for it but just don’t have the time anymore.

I can include the generator also, but both are being sold to the first person to get me the cash. It is also on a metal skid with a starter and a couple other things, but it wasn’t built by me and I was planning on reworking some of it.

I have a lister field Marshall 6/1 with very few run hours just to test it. I was hoping to set it up as a generator, but just don’t have the time. It is located in Bedford Massachusetts. $2,200 firm. It was though to start but ran great once it fired up. I also have a glow plug which I haven’t installed yet that I will include. I figured it would help with winter starting.

I am located in massachusetts. i have a way to load it on a truck or trailer. i wanted to make a generator set out of it, but have way too many projects right now and wont be able to get around to it for a long time.

General Discussion / Re: decompression valve or glow plug?
« on: September 22, 2014, 06:40:33 PM »
Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will go with the glow plug and if needed the heat pad. I found a magnetic one I might try. Now I just have to figure out how I am going to mount a starter to this.

General Discussion / decompression valve or glow plug?
« on: September 20, 2014, 10:53:30 PM »
I am fairly new to lLsters, and have a 6/1 Fieldmarshall. It has a plug in the block where the decompression valve normally goes. I plan on running it as a generator on a variety of fuels and I see advantages to both the glow plug and the decompression valve. I live in Newengland and the winters are cold. If you have any recommendations on which one I should use I would like to hear them and why. Thank you

Things I want to Buy / Electric start conversion for a Lister CS engine.
« on: September 19, 2014, 04:51:04 PM »
I am looking for a Electric start conversion for a Lister CS engine, or a good way to make my own. I don't like the starters with the wheel on it as much as the real setup. Any ideas are appreciated thanks.
