Yes, you can hear all the workings

And it's one of those special air-cooled units as well

Man, that is slow....much like I run my antique flywheel engines, except they have provision for cylinder oiling. Don't think a splash system is going to work all that well.....but maybe.........................

Obviously, the poster on Youtube is not married since he's running it inside the house......... ::)

I wondered about the splash myself.

To be fair to him and his putative spouse - I think he's running it in the carport?  That should be permissable?
