Hi, Folks-
I have recently acquired two Start-O-Matic Lister engines (8/1 @ 850RPM). These are engines only. I am looking for Bases, Generators, Controls, etc. ---- anything associated with the Start-O-Matic system. I know that I can set them up as regular Lister 6/1's or 8/1's, but I would really like to restore them as original Start-O-Matics! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I do have some items from my1953 6/1 start-o that are not in use. My 6/1 is belted up to a PMG.
I have the following:
Control box
24V solenoid valve lifter/fuel cut-off mechanism
2.5KW fat boy generator with it's flywheel pulley
maybe some other bits, I would have to check.
Have not previously thought about selling, as the data plate numbers on the base plate all match. Thought "someday" I would get it all working together. Rebuilt the engine to run a PMG, and..........so much to do, so little time. I am getting up there.
Hesitating to even put this out there, as
you are in Florida, I am on an island off the coast in British Columbia, Canada.
Shipping would likely be a killer

Thanks for the reply. You're right -- freight would probably be a killer! However, if you could give me an approximate guestimate of what the weight and size (1 pallet?) might be and the shipping point at your end - I'll crunch some numbers and see if it might be doable. Down here, we have most of the big name freight companies ( Yellow or YRC, Old Dominion, Fastenal, AAA cooper, etc.). I'm in Ocala, Florida.
Also, could give me your asking price for everything? We might be able to work something out. -- Thanks and Cheers,
