Title: Wanted Lister JP3 water pump drive wheel

Looking for or a supplier for a Lister JP water pump drive wheel part No 614-792 as fitted to JP2 and JP3. This drive wheel takes the drive from the camshaft drive wheel that also houses the governor

Hi Listertarka, welcome to the forum. The largest supplier of Lister engine parts, both new and used would be Gary (aka dieselgman) who runs Diesel Electric Services in the USA.

You will have better luck if you search for this part using the more recent Lister numbering system.

Therefore 614-792 becomes 616-00792

Then a quick google search will take you here:

Low and behold they just happen to have one of these items in stock.

I'm in touch with the company awaiting confirmation that actually have the gear and its the right one. I've been disappointed twice.

Diesel Engine Parts NL did not have one in stock. So back to square one.

Not the result you wanted, obviously.

Might be time to think about an alternative solution, such as having a gear made. In very similar circumstances I bought some gear blanks from these people, and modified them to suit the intended application.

Yes I was trying everything else first but it looks like the only option. I have found a group of tank restorers who may be able to help. Due to the cost I may have a few made and have some to sell.
