xJust out of curiosity. Has anyone tried using a dairy milk-cream separater as found on farms ?

Your cream separator will separate cream (oil) from  milk (water) but is not designed to retain heavy solids in the bowl or to discharge them in a separate stream.
May be useful to remove water contamination, or as a drive unit for a different bowl design, but can't see much use in its present form,  regards,  Combustor.
