Title: Lister SR3 15 HP 3 cylinder. Need face mount dimensions.
Post by: kingsgully on May 13, 2011, 04:27:12 AM
Details: Lister Dunlite alternator set.

Have Dunlite 10 KVA Model 010B3LRP
SERIAL: 75070 OR IT MIGHT BE 76070

Unit is driven by Lister SR3 diesel at 1500 RPM BS649
Lister No: 2096SR3 24
15HP 1500 RPM
I need dimensions and mounting details of the diesel Engine Flange\face mounting and shaft connecting details and dimensions.

If it is compatable with the Stamford mount, I can obtain a replacement alternator.

Any help is appreciated.

We should have the measured drawings for your SR3 but will have to dig a bit. Stamford did supply some custom stuff for Lister at one point (that fit without adapters) but not sure about SR. On top of that, current availability will be an issue. Lister did build adapters to SAE specs for your machine and these will allow coupling to just about any standard modern genhead. Typical cost on a set is now $350 though.
If you would like further details, email me please.

Thanks,

Unit has an adaptor ventilated flange reducing down from the diesel engine face mount. Details (Measured around the external dimension of the adaptor)

The Lister S3 (three cylinder)  Dunlite 10KVA Alternator has a ventilated flange adaptor.
Dimensions measured with flat binding PVC tape around circumference:
Diesel side is 133 Centimetres. Alternator side is 113 Centimetres.
Length of flange adaptor is 85 millimeters approxomately.

A local supplier has an "Able" 12 KVA single phase brushless replacement which is arranged as a "Stamford" mount.
I am hopeful that the SR3 is compatable?

Many of the Stamfords are SAE dimensions. This sounds like the adapter you are describing. The Able is worth a try for sure.
