Title: CS 10/2 CAV Element Compatibility question
Post by: MoeK on November 24, 2008, 02:35:14 AM
Hello,

I am a new forum member and like to thank everyone in advance for your help.

I am in the process of restoring a CS 10/2, which was left outside for a number of years. Therefore, it needs a lot of care and attention. As part of this work, I am cleaning/rebuilding the entire engine, including fuel pump. I have disassembled the pump and inspected all components.  The fuel delivery valve and element look marginal, so I would like to replace them both if I can get spares.

I would like to know if the parts are compatible with the Bosc/Mico pumps that come with the Indian Listeroids. Below are the specs for the pump and element.

The Fuel Pump is  a CAV BF1B70B00.

The element is a CAV with B1/1 stamped in it. From a post by Peter, I understand the CAV part number is: 7010-188.

If they are not, are the parts easy to get, or is it better to replace the pump with a Mico unit.

Thanks

Moe
