Title: Petter A series - water cooled?
Post by: guyd on November 08, 2008, 08:37:36 PM
Hi - newbie here...

Lister CS som and LT1 owner, and now an owner of a boat with a slightly sad A series marinised engine. Im assuming its A series - the cam cover is A series style, the injection pump looks the same, etc etc.

However - Im a bit confused - its water cooled - raw water and all. Theres a small pump on the front which pumps water to the head / barrels, and exits in the exhaust.

Its electric start - so its not that old.

I have the serial numbers - but not to hand - nor pictures to hand (sorry)

Any ideas as to what it is?

Its for sale - as Im replacing it with a SABB 2H

The Petter A series is a small air-cooled petrol engine.

The AV series comes as water cooled (AV) or air-cooled (AVA)

The PJ series comes as  water cooled (PJW) or air-cooled (PJ)

The PH series comes as water cooled (PHW) or air cooled (PH)

The injection pump number will normally identify any of these engines.
