Title: Help me date my Lister D please?!

Its a Spec 26DH 1hp@500rpm Serial No 159543
And has anyone info on who it was originally sold to?
Also what colour it should be,I brought it in rusty but running order but would like to know its proper colour

Hi

According to the records your D was manufactured end of March 1940.
Original Lister Colour is 'Mid Brunswick Green BS381C Shade 226'
However they were often finished to customers requirements.
