Title: Why I want a KOEL engine next
Post by: Doug on March 08, 2007, 02:29:10 AM
In the roid buisness there are winners and looser.

We seen a lot looser engines, but no one has brought any KOEL product in yet.

Man have I tried ( Rajiv please answere my email!!!! ).

Maybe if I buy some stock they will start to talk to me again?

Maybe I need more links to explain my point.

Meet " Theoretical Gus " as he was supossed to be, the KOEL DM10
Or for you Lister fans the KS6

Hmm.... broken links and broken engines. How depressing.
Go into agriculture and select diesel engines.

You know these guys are the biggest engine manufacturer in India and the can't make a website without bugs

Hi Doug,
I know you think a Koel engine may have a lot better quality but don't count on it.... I'll bet a lot f the parts in your gus could be found in a Koel...some friends work at a local machine shop dedicated to natural gas compressors / engines... a lot of the Cummins NG stuff comes from india... now you would thing Cummins would be Cummins quality no matter where it's made... well they told  me horror stories about the indian cummins engines... poor fit, rough castings, dirt... yes dirt... in a cummins... Petteroid and listeroids may be the bottom of the barrel... since more folks can make them... but I have to think the real problems.... or should I say challenges come from the indian culture of "that's good enough for what it will be doing"...
Maybe Koel would be interested if you were ordering 50 engines... but for a one engine sale I think these folks have bigger fish to fry..

I believe the Cummings from India IS made by KOEL.

Just a shot in the dark but its a publickly traded company on a growth curve.

A fellow in Southern Ontario was to import me a KS6 and TV2 with his next container of Duetz clones he imports for generating sets and compressors. This didn't pan, not sure why....

Gus is the DM10, thats even stamped into the crank forging, but I can only wonder if it would have been better than the Anand version I bought. Friends in the midle east and Malaysia tell me the only Indian engies to buy are the KOEL ones....

Still searching for Next step forward.....

When you are you going toshow me your oiling upgrades fattywagonman?

Rajiv quit talking to me about 9 months ago when the conversation switched to stationary engines from the HA and R1040 ( EPA compliant high speed air and water cooled industrial /mobile equip engines ).

Aparently the DM and TV series Petters are EPA comliant already. KOEL was willing to work threw that southern Ontario Importer to send me a sample of the HA

I have an idea to tap off the one of the oil gallery banjo bolts and run the oil threw a filter then feed the rear main and rocker box.

I'm going to plug the drain for the bypass filter at the left side of the rear main carrier.

This I think will give me enough extra oil to run a small Kubota Turbo if I eventualy use it.
